One-Hour Dinner Rolls Italiano
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups flour
- 2 pkg dry yeast
- 2 Tcs sugar
- 2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup milk
- 4 Tbs margarine
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Mix 1 1/2 cups flour and next four ingredients into mixing bowl. Heat milk, 1/2 cup water and 2 tablespoons margarine to 120 degrees. Add to flour mixture with egg. Blend at low speed. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and enough remaining flour to make firm dough. Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl turning to grease surface. Let rise, covered, in warm place for 15 minutes. Turn oven to lowest setting for 1 minute. Turn oven off. Shape dough into balls, dip tops into 2 tablespoons melted margarine and 1/4 cup cheese. Place in well greased 9 X 13 baking dish. Let rise covered in warm oven for 10 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Watch closely. Remove from pan to cool.
